The two greater demons, beings above ordinary high-ranking demons, unleashed their magic power to the utmost, strengthening the Ashen Ark at any cost. Yet their efforts accomplished nothing and only made the ark shake more violently.
The force that made the Ashen Ark lose its balance and fall resembled gravity as defined by human science. The resemblance was only conceptual, however; the conditions underlying it were different.
Rocks collapsed, and heaven and earth overturned. The densely packed demons seemed trapped inside a bartender's cocktail shaker. Amid chaos and terror, they tore into one another, while demonic blood and the shattered landscape tumbled endlessly. That peculiar sense of weightlessness concentrated most of them in the upper half of the Ashen Ark.
As the two greater demons desperately unleashed all their power, the Ashen Ark shuddered in the Void for a moment. Then, as though some tether had finally snapped, it plunged straight toward the Otherworld.
