Duo'er'an narrowed its eyes at the ruins. That blow had been powerful enough that it had expected the Succubus to be torn apart on the spot.
"But it makes no difference. It's over!"
The High Demon walked toward the ruins, step by step. Its promise to eat the Succubus had been no joke. It was badly injured now, and this Succubus would make an excellent restorative meal. After eating her, Duo'er'an would not dare show itself for some time. It could only hope to survive this dangerous period through sheer luck.
Duobaili lay in the rubble, gasping violently, her hateful gaze fixed on the approaching Duo'er'an.
