A thunderbolt pierced the curtain of rain.
The sky was dark and heavy.
At the center of the battlefield, Yemu walked steadily, his black cloak snapping in the raging wind and rain.
His purple Tenseigan stared at Deva Path Pain, who looked down upon everyone from above, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
Under everyone's gaze, Yemu rose into the air to meet the Six Paths of Pain.
"Are you Yemu Hyuga?"
Deva Path Pain looked down at him, his tone indifferent and arrogant. "You possess eyes similar to mine, yet you side with these ignorant powers of the Shinobi World. How disappointing."
Yemu raised his head to meet his gaze, his tone cold.
"The truly ignorant one is the man who dreams of destroying the world in the name of pain."
"Your ideals aren't worth my response."
Pain narrowed his eyes, his Rinnegan glowing with an eerie purple light.
"In that case, I shall grant you true pain."
With those words, Deva Path Pain led Yemu to a largely deserted area.
Yemu descended from the sky, watching Deva Path Pain stand on a rock as the downpour washed over him.
There was no hint of strain in Yemu's eyes.
Who was the true god?
This battle would reveal the answer.
Just then.
The other five Paths of Pain leaped out of the rain. Asura Path, Preta Path, Human Path, Animal Path, and Naraka Path took their positions in an instant, surrounding Yemu in a tight formation, radiating murderous intent.
A cold smile curled Yemu's lips, his voice terrifyingly calm:
"Six against one? Fair enough."
"After all, you alone could never match me."
Faced with Yemu's confident declaration,
Deva Path Pain merely extended his palm in silence, then uttered coldly:
"Shinra Tensei!"
