The newcomer was none other than Tang San.
His gaze fell on Wang Sheng, a little puzzled. "What rules?"
Wang Sheng said, "Naturally, whoever's strongest is the boss."
Tang San walked straight past Wang Sheng to find a bed. "I'm here to study. I'm not interested in being the boss."
Seeing this, Wang Sheng launched a sneak attack.
But within just a few exchanges, Tang San had knocked him flat on the floor.
Wang Sheng looked toward Su Mo. "Boss!"
Tang San looked over as well, his tone level. "So the rule is that if I beat you, I'm the boss here, right?"
Su Mo's interest was piqued. "That's right."
Tang San wasted no words. He turned his right hand over, three throwing needles slipped between his fingertips, and he hurled them straight at Su Mo.
Then he activated Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, turning into a blur as he reached for Su Mo.
Lightning flickered in Su Mo's left eye, and a bolt instantly knocked down all three needles.
Then his gaze locked onto Tang San.
At that moment, Tang San's movements slowed countless times over in his eyes.
Another bolt of lightning shot straight at Tang San.
Tang San's pupils contracted. He instantly changed direction, dodging it at an exceptionally tricky angle.
But at some point, Su Mo had already appeared in front of him, and a blast of Palm Thunder from his right hand struck Tang San's shoulder.
Tang San grunted, feeling his entire arm go numb.
But he didn't concede. His other hand immediately unleashed Mysterious Jade Hand, striking at Su Mo.
Su Mo stepped back, then blasted Tang San with another lightning strike.
Tang San was scorched black all over, his hair standing on end.
His face had blackened too, and black smoke drifted from his mouth.
His clothes were also charred black. The electricity had been so powerful that they even began slowly crumbling to ash.
Tang San hurriedly covered his crotch.
Su Mo looked at Tang San and said mildly, "Still want to fight?"
Tang San clenched his fists, then finally let out a breath. "I lost."
Su Mo smiled. "Good. Now call me boss."
Hearing this, Tang San gritted his teeth. "Boss!"
Su Mo sighed. "Ah, I can tell you don't mean it. Never mind. It doesn't matter."
Getting to beat up Little Scumbag had felt pretty satisfying.
Tang San clenched his fists, then turned and found a bed farther away from Su Mo.
Naturally, Su Mo could tell Tang San wasn't convinced, but it didn't matter. He didn't care.
Su Mo's reign as boss lasted only one day.
Because the next day, someone kicked open the door to Dorm Seven.
A girl with a scorpion braid stood in the doorway.
She wore a rabbit-ear hair accessory and looked very cute.
After her large eyes swept around the dorm, her gaze landed on Su Mo.
She walked straight up to him and planted her hands on her hips. "You're the boss of Dorm Seven?"
Su Mo opened his right eye and glanced at her.
From her outfit, he had already guessed who she was.
"That's right. I'm the boss of Dorm Seven. Need something?"
Xiao Wu lifted her little face. "My name's Xiao Wu-the Wu means dance. I heard that if I beat you, I become the boss of Dorm Seven, right?"
Tang San raised his head from his bed and looked at the girl, his gaze lingering for a moment.
In the corner, Wang Sheng muttered, "Another one coming to her death."
Su Mo sat up and looked Xiao Wu up and down. He had to admit, Xiao Wu really was cute at this age.
"Are you sure?"
Xiao Wu stepped back and took a fighting stance. "Cut the chatter. My Martial Soul is the Soft Bone Rabbit. Yours?"
"Su Mo. My Martial Soul is the Gashapon Machine."
Xiao Wu froze for a moment. "What?"
She didn't think she'd ever heard of that Martial Soul.
Su Mo didn't explain. Instead, he said, "You'll know once we're done fighting."
Xiao Wu's eyes shifted, and she suddenly attacked Su Mo.
She was fast. Her long legs traced an arc through the air, swinging straight toward Su Mo's neck to wrap around it.
Su Mo opened his left eye, and a bolt of lightning shot straight out of his pupil. It was so fast that Xiao Wu, still in midair, was struck before she could react.
Then she crashed to the floor.
Xiao Wu rolled over and climbed to her feet, rubbing her slightly numb body. Her eyes widened indignantly. "You cheated! I didn't even touch you!"
Su Mo shrugged. "I wouldn't dare let you get close."
Xiao Wu gritted her teeth in anger and charged at Su Mo again, moving nimbly. This time, she had learned her lesson and constantly guarded against his attacks.
Su Mo didn't keep using lightning strikes. Instead, he used the Eye of Thunder to precisely anticipate Xiao Wu's every move.
Then he dodged with the smallest possible movements before interrupting her attacks with a wisp of electricity.
Who knew whether Su Mo's electricity had a mind of its own?
Every so often, it zapped Xiao Wu's pert bottom.
It made Xiao Wu hop in anger every time.
An unknown amount of time passed.
Panting, Xiao Wu stared at Su Mo. "Why are you like this?"
Su Mo glanced at her, looking rather innocent. "Like what? This is my Martial Soul's ability. Surely you can't expect me not to use it?"
"You..." Xiao Wu glared at Su Mo, her cheeks puffed with anger.
"All right, you're pretty strong. If you want to be the boss, go ahead. I'm not interested anyway."
Su Mo turned around, intending to lie on his bed a little longer.
Everyone in the dorm froze, their eyes turning toward Su Mo.
Tang San did the same. His gaze lingered on Su Mo's face for a second before turning to Xiao Wu.
For some reason, whenever he saw this girl, his heart seemed to skip half a beat.
Xiao Wu stared at Su Mo's back, and the rabbit-ear accessory on her head twitched.
She bounded over to Su Mo's bedside and leaned close to his face. "Hey, why are you letting me be the boss?"
Looking at the little face mere inches from his own, Su Mo really wanted to reach out and pinch it.
"Because it's too much trouble, of course."
Xiao Wu said with a grin, "You're really interesting."
She stood up and planted her hands on her hips. "You all heard him. From today onward, I'm the boss of Dorm Seven. You'll call me Sister Xiao Wu from now on. Got it?"
Wang Sheng took the lead. "Sister Xiao Wu!"
Xiao Wu nodded in satisfaction. She glanced back at Su Mo and found that he had kept his eyes closed.
Her large eyes shifted as though she'd thought of something fun.
"Hey, didn't you let me be the boss? Doesn't that mean you should call me Sister Xiao Wu too?"
Su Mo opened his right eye and called out helplessly, "Sister Xiao Wu!"
"Hehe, you really are interesting." Xiao Wu was delighted, growing even more interested in Su Mo.
Nearby, Tang San watched this scene with an uneasy feeling in his heart.
Xiao Wu glanced at the empty bed beside Su Mo, tossed her bundle onto it, and sat down.
But as she looked at the bare bed, her gaze shifted to the blanket on Su Mo's bed beside it.
Su Mo's blanket was very new.
Xiao Wu's eyes lit up. She walked straight over and tugged on his blanket.
"What?" Su Mo opened his eye helplessly.
Xiao Wu planted her hands on her hips as though she were perfectly justified. "I didn't bring a blanket. I'm the boss now, so I'm commandeering yours!"
The corner of Su Mo's mouth twitched. Wait, how did I forget about this?
He discreetly glanced in Tang San's direction.
After a moment's thought, he decided to leave it. How could he let Little Scumbag benefit from something like this?
"Then what am I supposed to use?"
Xiao Wu blinked and glanced at her own bed. "Then let's push our beds together."
The dorm instantly fell silent.
Everyone looked at Su Mo with envy.
Tang San sat on his bed, gripping the blanket in his hands with all his might.
