Spreading Rumors? Arrest Them!

Failure on a mission was not frightening. Hatake Sakumo choosing to abandon the mission to save his teammates was not a big deal either. What truly made matters serious was that the news had spread directly without passing through him, Uchiha Hikaru, the Anbu Minister, or the Third Hokage.

"Where did the news come from?!" Hikaru took a deep breath, suppressing the rage filling his chest as he asked.

The Anbu member who had come to report immediately felt his scalp go numb. He knew the Hokage Lord was angry, but that was nothing. What was truly terrifying was their Anbu Minister, Uchiha Hikaru, losing his temper.

He had no idea how many people would suffer this time. The Anbu member felt bitterness in his mouth. What kind of mess was this? Which bastards had done this? Couldn't they have handled it quietly?

Now the entire village knew. Was this fun now? The Minister was angry too. Who knew how many people were going to be unlucky?

"The Medical Department..." With his head lowered, the Anbu member answered softly.

Hikaru kicked aside the wooden board blocking his way. His face was frosty as he strode forward, his icy voice echoing through the Hokage's Office:

"Notify the Police Department immediately. Arrest anyone discussing this matter. Also, have the Anbu surround the Medical Department. I suspect there are spies within the Medical Department deliberately spreading information harmful to the village's stability. Bring everyone from the Medical Department to the Anbu for questioning."

He was truly enraged. The Third Hokage watched Hikaru's back and shook his head with a bitter smile. He had no idea how many people would be unlucky this time.

The Anbu member was utterly dumbfounded. Having the Police Department arrest those spreading the rumors was already terrifying enough.
