Hikaru murmured silently to himself. With his eyes closed, he thought about nothing. He did not even care about the war between Konoha and Sunagakure, focusing all his attention on his eyes.

To Hikaru, nothing was more important right now than the evolution of his eyes. As long as his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan evolved, he would have the means to protect himself and stand against Madara Uchiha and Black Zetsu.

Causing trouble for them did not mean he could deal with Madara Uchiha himself. Nagato was manageable; he had the weakness of his life force. Even if he controlled the Rinnegan and possessed the Six Paths of Pain, Hikaru was not afraid of him.

But there was one thing Hikaru could not ignore. He could overlook Nagato, but could he ignore Madara Uchiha, the madman of the Uchiha Clan?

Hikaru knew only too well how terrifying Madara Uchiha was. If his eyes did not evolve into the Rinnegan, he simply would not be able to contend with him.

Nagato with the Rinnegan and Madara Uchiha with the Rinnegan were completely different concepts.

Their strength was not even remotely comparable.

Do not think that being strong enough to ignore Nagato meant you could ignore Madara Uchiha. When Madara Uchiha was revived, he would beat the shit out of you!!!!

Uchiha Sasuke and Naruto were the best examples. Although Hikaru's eyes were at the same level as late-stage Uchiha Sasuke's, both being Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Hikaru's strength was not something Uchiha Sasuke could compare to.

Even so, Hikaru was not stupid enough to think he could contend with Madara Uchiha. Just look at the final Ninja Wars in the original story. The people of the Five Great Shinobi Villages were tossed around like fools
