Philly slapped the alarm clock off, sat up with a yawn, and, eyes still closed, picked up the hair tie beside her pillow to tie up her long hair. Out of habit, she touched her forehead to see if goat horns had grown out of it.
She left the bedroom and went to the apartment's large washroom to brush her teeth. Lia came in to wash up too, and Philly asked casually, "Do we have a materials lab this morning?"
Lia smacked her on the butt. "Are you still half-asleep? The Experiment Building is still under emergency repairs. Lab classes won't resume until at least next week."
Philly froze, and her mind gradually cleared.
So it really hadn't been a dream.
Although two days had already passed, Philly still felt as if she were dreaming. She couldn't believe she had really been caught up in some supernatural, mysterious incident. Demons, angels, artificers, Ash Hiss... those things were way too far away from her.
Especially Ash Hiss. She wouldn't even have dared to dream that she would fight side by side with Hiss!
That was the kind of plot that only appeared in TV dramas!
But the Experiment Building really had exploded. The official explanation was that a gas leak had caused a fire, and the details were still under further investigation. Fortunately, aside from three people sustaining minor injuries from the blast shockwave, there had been no other casualties.
