In the classics of artificers, a certain river was always mentioned. It ran through past and future, held the mysteries of time in its depths, every drop of its water a mortal life, every wave the blossoming of an era.
Among the spell spirits washed up onto its banks, there was no lack of priceless treasures: Reverse Sun, which could instantly heal grievous wounds; Reverse Year, which could return the elderly to the prime of youth, Fixed Month, which could keep youth lingering for a while, and Listen to the Sun, which could only be found by chance and never sought. It was the Gilded River, the end of all time.
But to mortals and Silver Arcanists, the Gilded River was destined to remain a wonder they could only seek in fictional works. Although Two-Winged Sorcerers could step into the Time Continent, in any country, Two-Winged Sorcerers were already pillars of society. Their arcane realms had already entered the hall of mastery; ordinary people could spend their entire lives doing nothing more than enjoying the benefits of artificer civilization... or its enslavement.
And while Silver Arcanists might be very poor, Two-Winged Sorcerers could absolutely become rich if they wanted to. The Gilded River was not hard to find in the Time Continent. If one explored diligently, one could run into it at least ten times a month; with a little risk, one could snatch one to three Time Spell Spirits each time. Accumulated bit by bit, the probability of picking up one-time precious spell spirits like the Reverse Time Series was not low. The price of a One-Winged Reverse Year was enough for an ordinary person to rent a place in Gala City and live comfortably for a full year.
