Boom—crack!
Above the Nine Heavens, the frozen spatial barrier shattered without warning.
A section of rust-speckled Iron Hook, wrapped in dim Chaos Flow, ignored the distance of space and the restraints of the Astral Realm Rules, brutally stabbing into this battlefield where a silent contest of strength was underway.
Wherever the rust passed, starlight retreated, laws froze, and even time seemed to lose the meaning of flowing onward.
In an instant, whether they were Venerables clashing in battle or Deputy Executors being intercepted on their journey, all felt a tremor rising from the depths of their souls and cast uncertain, alarmed gazes toward the direction from which the Iron Hook had emerged.
Gazes crossed the Nine Heavens, fixed upon the mottled rust on the Iron Hook.
"Hm?! This aura... is it the 'Anchor'? That old ghost Heaven's Mandate?!"
"Hadn't he fallen into eternal silence in the Deep Space Graveyard?! He still dared show himself? Was he not afraid that the Fear Divine Lord would settle accounts with him?"
"Heaven's Mandate... why had he awakened? And why risk provoking both the gods and the Supreme Sky Demons to interfere here?!"
Voices of shock and doubt rose one after another.
Though the Human Race Venerables were stunned, they could still maintain an outward calm. Poison Fire, Black Fiend, and the other Gods' Proxies, however, had faces filled with terror—and... a deeply hidden trace of envy!
The Nine Heavens Star Dome stood supreme.
Yet beneath the gods and the Supremes, even among the Human Race Venerables and Gods' Proxies who hung equally high in the heavens, there were distinctions of rank.
And "ancient" was precisely the dividing line!
Ancient Ones!
An ancient Human Race Venerable could withstand the wrath of a god head-on, even holding their ground in a brief clash!
