"What reality should I recognize?" A hoarse voice sounded from outside the door.
Hu Yunni cast a sidelong glance at the little maid.
The pretty little maid hurriedly waved her hands.

The pretty little maid helplessly ran over and pulled open the courtyard gate. Outside stood a decrepit old man.
He leaned on a beast-head cane, its shaft glimmering with a dim black light. The cane's head was some unknown fierce beast, part wolf and part tiger, savage and vicious, as though it might pounce out and devour someone at any moment.
The old man's beard and brows were white, his skin wrinkled and his hair pale, yet his eyes were like those of a hawk or falcon, his gaze sweeping about like cold lightning.
The pretty little maid shrank back and crisply bowed. "Greetings, Elder Hu."
The old man snorted. "Bring me something to drink!"
"Yes."
The little maid answered, carefully backed away, then lightly ran off once she had left the courtyard.
Hu Yunni remained sprawled in the chair. She lazily glanced at the old man. "It's rare for you to have the leisure to come here, Grandpa."
The old man took one stride to her side and heavily struck the beast-head cane against the ground. "Look at the state you're in!"
Hu Yunni snorted. "What's wrong with me?"
The old man said irritably, "You have no proper posture when sitting, no bearing whatsoever."
Hu Yunni curled her red lips. "If you have something to say, hurry up and say it."
His hand shot out like lightning, grabbing the back of her collar and flinging her away.
