Upon reaching the Life and Death Realm, recovering True Essence became a major problem. Life and Death Realm Kings all possessed terrifying levels of cultivation. Those with lower cultivation still had decades' worth, while those with higher cultivation could possess thousands of years, perhaps even over two thousand years.

With so much True Essence, recovering through circulating one's cultivation method alone was exceedingly difficult. The gap between Heaven and Earth Origin Energy and King-Level True Essence was simply too vast—it had to be compressed and refined again and again. Unless one entered seclusion for a very long time, recovery was impossible, and even then, it depended on how much cultivation had been lost. Unfortunately, Top-Grade Spirit Stones were exceedingly rare, and they also served as currency among Life and Death Realm Kings. Unless their cultivation loss was severe, very few Life and Death Realm Kings would use Top-Grade Spirit Stones to restore True Essence. It was far too extravagant.

If using Top-Grade Spirit Stones to recover True Essence was extravagant, then using True Essence Crystals was outright wasteful. True Essence Crystals were even more precious than Top-Grade Spirit Stones. Only Life and Death Realm Kings, along with a very small number of Half-Step Kings proficient in this field, could condense them. Yet even if a Life and Death Realm King neither ate nor drank, they could not condense many in a year. Restoring
