The mage possessed an extraordinarily profound cultivation in Buddhist teachings. Though he looked very young, his command of Buddhist teachings surpassed even that of old abbots.
Thus, Yasha was defeated by the mage without any suspense.
However... after defeating Yasha, the mage neither killed nor sealed him away. Instead, he took Yasha with him and cultivated alongside him, hoping to redeem his demonic nature.
They cultivated together for several years. Yet what had originally been a normal relationship had grown increasingly strange over the past two years!
After all... Yasha was an evil ghost born from the Sea of the Underworld. Blood was his food, and in the harsh Sea of the Underworld, they would even slaughter one another for it.
Master Tianzhu wanted to redeem him and would not let him touch human blood. As for animal blood... Yasha found it beneath him...
So Master Tianzhu followed the Buddha's example of cutting flesh to feed an eagle.
He fed Yasha with his own blood, hoping to redeem him.
Yet no one had expected... that the redemption would remain unfinished, and it seemed... he had dragged himself into it as well. Between them, a different kind of feeling had begun to grow...
The Sutra of Rebirth continued, but... gradually, something seemed increasingly wrong.
