Naturally, Maitreya Buddha Lord had also issued a decree: should Nirvana Dao Ancestor come to pay his respects, he was to be turned away without exception.
At present, the Buddhist Sect had only two future Buddha Lords designated by Buddha Lords: Ancient Great Bright Buddha and Ānanda Tathāgata. The other one, Treasure Cover Illuminating Void Freedom King Buddha, had yet to receive designation from either Buddha Lord.
In truth, if Nirvana Dao Ancestor had not already ceased to be Buddhist, then given his cultivation of both Buddhist and Daoist teachings, his Dao Integration of Nirvana, and his accomplishments that had brought him very close to integrating the Yin-Yang Dao Seed once more, one of the two future Buddha Lords designated by the Buddha Lords would likely have been him rather than Ānanda Tathāgata, who was under Liuli's tutelage.
