I've been writing this book for a full year!

Before I knew it, I'd been updating for this long again.

Let me explain yesterday's missed update: I was preparing things for the new book.

I'm getting ready to start a new book, but this book absolutely won't be abandoned. Readers who are still following it can rest assured about that.

To be honest, after writing this book for so long, my passion isn't as high anymore. A Douluo fic at over a million words is honestly about enough, so I plan to speed up the plot, finish it properly, and give it a perfect ending.

So actually, dozens of chapters ago, my writing style had already shifted toward speeding up the plot.

But because I previously laid the groundwork for the Asura God, the Demon Empress, the Holy Spirit Cult, and the imperial war, I realized that even if I sped up the plot, it still wasn't something I could wrap up in just a dozen chapters.

But...

The release time for the new book had already been set with my editor...

It was the new book released yesterday. So the new book is already out. As for this old book, I'll still update it, but the updates will be bad. There's no way I can do two updates every day.

I'm not some tentacle monster. My writing speed actually isn't fast. All I can say is I'll try to update one chapter a day. If you feel the updates are too slow, you can let the chapters pile up first.
