But the instant he closed the book, his hand suddenly felt light. The Soul Book had been snatched away by a hand.
Tian Ruodu's pupils contracted as his gaze, sharp as blades, turned toward the owner of that hand.
A strange half-human, half-metal man in a hoodie stood before him. His steel-like palm gripped the Soul Book; no matter how the book flashed and struggled, it could not break free from that iron hand.
"Who are you?" Tian Ruodu stared at Old Iron and asked.
Old Iron ignored him. He reached out and tore off the Soul Book's black cover, then, right in front of Tian Ruodu, ripped the glowing Soul Book apart page by page.
As the pages of the Soul Book were torn apart, Tian Xin, Tian Jing Yun, and Tian Shang Qing, who had been lying on the ground as though dead, suddenly seemed to have their souls returned. They sprang upright.
"What happened?" Tian Jing Yun and Tian Shang Qing looked around blankly, having no idea what had occurred.
Tian Ruodu stared at Old Iron with a strange look in his eyes. Someone capable of snatching the Soul Book from his hand and tearing apart an Immortal-grade Soul Book was not unheard of in the universe, but there were not many such people.
He had never seen or even heard of this strange man before, yet he possessed such power. It was truly unexpected.
Suddenly, Old Iron tossed the partially torn Soul Book back to Tian Ruodu. Without another word, he swung a slap at Tian Ruodu's face.
A cold smile touched Tian Ruodu's lips. His six wings spread wide, and black light bloomed from his body, forming a black halo that blocked Old Iron's palm.
Slap!
The black halo shattered instantly beneath Old Iron's palm.
