Who Is Betraying Whom

"How are you here?" Gu Xia stared at Emperor Tian Shu, scrutinizing the surroundings suspiciously, his eyes flickering as though he were pondering something.

"You intend to destroy my Celestial Race. Naturally, I am here to defend my people. Where else would I be?" Emperor Tian Shu said blandly.

"It is good that you are here. Saves us the trouble of looking for you." Giant Spirit took a step forward, raising the mountain-like warhammer in his hand and smashing it down at Emperor Tian Shu.

Boom!

Blinding light erupted skyward like an exploding volcano.

Giant Spirit's hammer was blocked by that power of light, unable to fall any farther.

Instead, the youthful Emperor Tian Shu slowly rose to his feet. The light around him grew ever more intense, and like a god, he forced Giant Spirit's massive hammer slowly back.

Emperor Tian Shu was clearly nowhere near as large as Giant Spirit, yet for some reason, Giant Spirit, towering like a giant, now seemed somewhat short in front of him.

"I want your heart." Gu Xia suddenly launched a sneak attack, appearing before Emperor Tian Shu like a phantom. A short blade in his hand stabbed toward Emperor Tian Shu's heart.

But in the next second, terrifying radiance shot straight into the heavens. Giant Spirit and Gu Xia were violently blasted backward, hurled into the sky.

Emperor Tian Shu stepped forward, walking through the light and floating in midair, shining like the sun.
