It gave Lin Shen an exceedingly strange feeling. He had heard the legend of Chang'e Flying to the Moon.
In the legend, Chang'e ate Queen Mother of the West's Undying Medicine and ascended to the moon. Yet in Lin Wan's account, Chang'e had become a human who piloted a spaceship through interstellar travel.
And she had even been a human from several civilizations ago. It made it difficult for Lin Shen to tell whether what Lin Wan said was true or false.
From the perspective of a normal person, what Lin Wan said sounded more like a story—a haphazardly cobbled-together story that sounded utterly absurd. Yet Lin Shen could not immediately point out what was wrong with it.
"So what does it mean for you to tell me all this now?" Lin Shen asked as he looked at Lin Wan.
"I would never return to a place like the Immortal Court, no matter what. But this body of mine has always been threatened by the Death Tribulation. When you first appeared by my side, that Death Tribulation vanished. But now, there are faint signs that it is about to emerge again, so I need your help," Lin Wan said, looking at Lin Shen.
