What did a spiritual communion feel like?

A strange thought suddenly popped into Ren Suo's mind. He thought that the next time he summoned Ren Han, or ran into Ren Han at the tavern, he had to ask him properly.

Because Ren Suo now suspected that he was engaging in spiritual communion.

When he had merged with Sony before, Ren Suo had not felt anything special. In almost an instant, he had swallowed Sony whole and cleanly obtained all of Sony's memory programs, thought programs, and bodily programs, as though water had merged into water.

If merging with Sony had been like removing Sony's solid-state drive and installing it in himself, then merging with his sister was like slowly copying the programs and data from her hard drive before transferring them into his own heart.

The transfer process felt incredibly subtle to Ren Suo. It gave him the exhilaration of drifting through an ocean of memories and emotions, while also giving him the reassurance of drawing close to a fire for warmth.

If he had to put it that way, it felt as though his sister had spiritually communed with him one-sidedly—or had he spiritually communed with her one-sidedly?

If this was spiritual communion, then who was the active party and who was the passive one?

His sister should be feeling nothing right now. After all, Ren Suo had not copied his own data to her, so was he the active party?

But Ren Suo had not provided his sister with any effective output. Instead, he had accepted all of her output wholesale, so was his sister the active party?

Ren Suo felt thoroughly confused, so he planned to ask Ren Han about the definition of spiritual communion later. Otherwise, he would always feel strange about it.
