History
Early Era
Midgard became the central prize of the gods and giants after its appearance. Their struggle for it lasted thousands of years before ending in stalemate, with both sides relying on their respective races to compete for influence. The God of Wisdom Pro created humans at the roots of the World Tree during this broader conflict. 75
During the gods' recovery and the giants' seclusion, humanity multiplied across Midgard. Human civilization remained organized around city-states rather than unified nations, though it developed spiritual objects, paper, magic devices, martial techniques, and specialized mounted orders. Humans nevertheless continued to struggle against magical beasts and other hostile races. 15 79
Sumerian Era
Gilgamesh's rise transformed Midgard's political order. After forging the Carnage Sword and entering the Legendary realm, he began ruling the world and openly preparing a rebellion against the gods. 83
His dynasty expanded through war, bloodline experimentation, and the construction of wonders and temples. These policies produced new professions, most notably Bloodline Sorcerers, but also caused heavy casualties and unrest among Midgard's humans. 102
The Sumerian Dynasty ended after Gilgamesh's final attack brought down the Divine Realm and created the Underworld. The destruction of the dynasty marked the close of an era lasting sixty-six years. 140
Decline and Warring States Period
Afra's self-destruction damaged Midgard's rank and destroyed nearby city-states. The world’s laws automatically worked to repair the resulting void black hole. 136 137
The opening of the Hill Magic Box further altered Midgard's laws. Gods lost their former immortality, new tribulations appeared, and the world entered a prolonged Warring States Period marked by competing city-states, rising Epic experts, divine beasts, and gods seeking faith in the mortal realm. 141 147
The gods exerted political control through churches, holy armies, and the “Gods' Game,” in which human kingdoms and heroes were treated as pieces in divine contests. 251
War of the Three Realms and Reconstruction
The War of the Three Realms was centered on Midgard. Its peoples united with dragons, treants, dwarves, Titan Giants, and other races to resist divine rule. 288 292
Human King Locke destroyed the World Gate, led the resistance, and fought multiple Sovereign Gods. The rebellion's victory ended the Old Gods' reign and began the Silver Age. 289 300
After the war, Midgard underwent broad reconstruction. Different races participated in rebuilding its cities, the church's rule collapsed, and a major slave uprising accelerated the transition from slavery toward feudal society. 300 302
Later Developments
Ning Tianjiao's Demon Gathering Towers were constructed across city-states and villages. Their network improved cultivation efficiency, enabled long-range communication, harvested ambient mental energy, and formed the foundation of the Magic Net. 304 513
In a later period of renewed division, the Violet Kingdom, Lion Kingdom, Magic Empire, and Saint Adan Free Federation became Midgard's four dominant powers. 354
Prince Charlotte's Undead Cataclysm temporarily changed Midgard's world attributes: a blood-red sea consumed life across the land and transformed its victims into undead. Angel ultimately purified the catastrophe through the Holy Sword's thirteenth seal. 414 415
Civilization and Inhabitants
- Humans — Midgard's largest and most widespread race. Their high reproductive capacity, adaptability, and talent allowed them to establish city-states, dynasties, kingdoms, and successive human-led resistance movements. 79 145 189
- Dwarves — Renowned craftspeople whose forging shaped Midgard's divine artifacts, magical infrastructure, armor, and the Savior used in the War of the Three Realms. 300 410
- Orcs — A major power created through divine experiments merging human and beast-race advantages. 145
- Dragons, Treants, magical beasts, and other races — Major participants in Midgard's wars, reconstruction, and later integrated societies. 292 300
- Undead — Became a world-scale threat during Charlotte's cataclysm, which transformed millions of living beings into undead through the spreading Sea of Blood. 414
World Laws and Power System
- Midgard's power hierarchy includes Saint, Legendary, and Epic ranks. Postnatally born beings require a Domain to enter the Legendary realm. 84
- Legendary Domains are formed from distinct Laws, with recorded examples including Light, Slaughter, Darkness, and Wind God Domains. 84
- Midgard's incomplete tiers were progressively filled as Legendary experts emerged; later, more beings broke into the Epic realm through different paths. 84 147
- The world possesses an origin capable of reacting to catastrophic damage. Midgard's origin cried out when the God King released his full strength, and its laws attempted to repair Afra's void scar. 137 180
- The World Gate manifested Midgard's laws and phenomena, but its origin information could only be directly captured by a Sovereign-level being. 195
Infrastructure
Demon Gathering Towers
- Towers were built throughout major city-states, remote settlements, and villages under Ning Tianjiao's plan. 304

- Their interconnected network gathers ambient mental energy and converts it into stored, usable power. 304 513
Magic Net
- The Magic Net enables users to communicate and access uploaded magic formulas through contribution-based use. 304
- Even ordinary people can cast magic through the network when within its coverage. 304
- Mages can perform major spells with reduced personal mental expenditure by drawing on the Magic Net's stored energy. 513
