Azure Fireballs exploded in the air, scattering ashes formed from the corpses of Star River Mayflies across the ground.

In the sky, Mayfly battle swarms blanketed the position like dark clouds. Fighting them was a cluster of metal spheres floating in the air.

These metal spheres came in different sizes. The large ones were around two meters in diameter, while the small ones were roughly the size of human heads. Made of exceptionally sturdy materials and enhanced through alchemical enchantment, these spheres could even withstand the combined beams of a second-level Mayfly battle swarm.

In the air, the large spheres commanded the smaller ones as they struggled to resist the Mayfly battle swarms' assault.

Although large numbers of War Fortresses stood on the ground, and their anti-air firepower was equally fierce, the War Fortresses were not focused entirely on air defense. They had enemies of their own to deal with.

Across the flat earth, hundreds of thousands of giant insects were charging toward the War Fortress Cluster.

Even the smallest of these insects were as large as elephants, their bodies covered in purplish-red carapaces. But their most conspicuous feature was undoubtedly the thick, sturdy horn at the front of their bodies, nearly half a meter long.

Wizards collectively called these Mayfly subspecies Horn Mayflies. No matter how their structures differed, their ultimate purpose was to rely on those horns to destroy Wizard War Fortresses.

Throughout the war against the Wizards, the Star River Mayflies had also continued learning. But after losing billions of Mayflies to Wizard War Fortresses, they had finally discovered the fortresses' weakness—or rather, their relative weakness.

War Fortresses were exceptionally effective at resisting energy and elemental attacks, but their resistance to physical attacks was somewhat weaker.
