The Mayflies' attack came exactly as Richard had expected.
According to reports from the front lines, the Star River Mayflies had deployed ten Level 3.5 battle groups this time.
Two of those battle groups were attempting to cut off the Wizard Dimension's northern salient, while four attacked from the center, trying to stretch the battle line farther. Four battle groups were attacking in the south, but the intensity was low, seemingly nothing more than a feint to tie them down.
The Mayflies' battle groups were divided into five tiers, from Level 1 to Level 4. Level 4 was merely a nominal designation, representing the Mayflies of an entire world, so Level 3.5 was the highest rank a battle group could actually attain.
These ten Level 3.5 battle groups were roughly equivalent to a hundred Level 3 battle groups. If every one of them was at full strength, then the total number of Mayflies deployed should have reached one billion.
This was also the first time Richard had felt the Wizard Civilization's predicament on the battlefield so vividly.
"One billion... and this still isn't their full strength."
Richard looked over the intelligence compiled by the Staff Department and could not help rubbing his brow.
"The Mayflies definitely have a considerable number of reserves. Even under the most optimistic estimate, if this is their entire army committed at once, then the Star River Mayflies still have at least around 1.3 billion combatants.
"And the war has been going on for so long. Their hatchery pools have probably already been completed and put into operation.
"In other words, if we leave them alone, that number will only keep rising.
"Great Wizard Pure World Fire, you really did leave me such a 'wonderful situation.'"
