At General Headquarters, Abel carried a document over to Richard. Richard, meanwhile, was multitasking—pondering Rune configurations and trying to optimize the sorcery structures at hand while also considering which rules he should fuse next.

More often than not, effort and diligence could not produce the results they ought to, and the battlefield was precisely such a place.
Staring at maps and sand tables all day, anxiously waiting for every report from the front lines, would not improve the situation by the slightest bit.
Even the cleverest housewife could not cook without rice. That was Richard's current predicament.
"Oh, I hope it isn't bad news."
Richard smiled and accepted the report from Abel.
Abel said respectfully, "Rest assured, sir. Although the Wizard Dimension Legion in the Northern War Zone is not elite, they are battle-hardened veterans. Those bugs cannot do anything to them."
Richard opened the report, glanced through its contents, then closed it again.
He looked at Abel and chuckled. "Indeed. The fighting in the Northern War Zone is very stable."
The Northern War Zone's report stated that they had repelled nine large-scale attacks by the Star River Mayflies. Even in the battle with the heaviest losses, they had lost only half a fortress position.
If the Mayflies maintained this intensity of attack, they would have no problem holding out for another ten years.
But Richard did not need them to hold out for another ten years. Three more months would be enough.
The Mixed-Blood Legion's training had already begun. Once their training was complete, even if the results were less than ideal, it would still be enough to ease the pressure on the war.
