"Still, the grand offensive is about to begin. Every troop-source world is drawing up forces, preparing to advance in the frontal war."
The Mayfly King's antennae twitched, and a map of the Wilderness World appeared before him.
According to the intelligence reports, offensives had erupted all along the Wizards' battle line. The attacking legions were not pure wizard legions either, but the same Mixed-Blood Legions that had appeared in the previous offensive.
However, compared with the legions from the last offensive, these ones had changed somewhat. They were weaker than before.
"It seems the last offensive drained quite a few of your elites." The Mayfly King stared at the map and muttered to himself.
As he compared the intelligence, markers representing losses emerged across the map one after another.
Though those markers appeared evenly distributed, if they were stamped with timestamps, one would see small encirclements taking shape.
The wizards were like insects, taking one tiny bite after another as they swallowed up the Star River Mayflies' nodal brood nests.
"Strange. Why is there no main direction of attack?"
The Mayfly King examined the battle line again and again. Yet even with the superbrain of a Fifth-level creature, after integrating the intelligence and the map, he still could not discern the wizards' main direction of attack.
"That shouldn't be possible."
The Mayfly King's antennae swayed incessantly. In his view, the wizards must have planned this operation for a long time, intending to reclaim some lost territory.
Yet the intelligence showed that the wizard legions seemed intent on wiping out the Star River Mayflies in one stroke. Every legion was advancing forward along the earth veins.
"Could there truly be no main direction of attack? Are these wizards simply wearing down our forces?"
Reports sent back from the front lines flashed
