After leaving the Mystic Realm, Richard returned once more to the General Headquarters in the Wilderness World.
With the war in the Wilderness World over, the War Zone General Headquarters there had already been dissolved.
Only a portion of the Command Department's members remained in the Wilderness World to serve as an early warning force. Most of the Wizards had returned to the Wizard World for rest and recuperation.
Thus, the General Headquarters now looked utterly deserted. Only a few scattered Wizards remained, organizing records from the Wilderness World war in preparation for transferring them to the Eternal City of Truth for analysis and review.
"My lord, you have returned."
Upon seeing Richard, Abel, Richard's secretary, immediately came forward to greet him.
"Hm? You didn't go back on vacation?"
Richard was somewhat surprised. By all rights, an Old Wizard like Abel should not have been staying at the Command Department to do clerical work such as sorting documents.
Abel lowered his head slightly. "My lord, how could I leave while you have not? Until you step down as the Commander-in-Chief of the Wilderness World, I will remain your secretary."
"That was my oversight." Richard nodded slightly, then said, "Perfect. I'm heading back to the Wizard World now, so I'll take you along."
"I would be deeply honored."
Upon reaching the Teleportation Gate, Richard greeted the Wizard in charge of it, then entered the gate with Abel.
Even with the Teleportation Gate system, traveling between worlds still took several days.
Along the way, with nothing better to do, Richard chatted with Abel about the war.
"...My lord, Great Wizards as capable as you are uncommon even among Great Wizards. One could even say they are exceedingly rare."
Richard paused at Abel's assessment, then asked with interest, "There's no need to flatter
