Light like a supernova eruption instantly illuminated the entire Ash Sun World as bright as snow.

The Eidolon Dominator's antennae trembled, his eyes filled with disbelief. At the very center of that radiance, Richard still stood where he had been.

Richard looked at the Eidolon Dominator, his gaze as deep and secluded as a dark mountain pool.
"Mayfly, I told you. Today, you will certainly die. If you surrender without resistance, perhaps you can die a little more cleanly."
The Eidolon Dominator's figure flashed, and when he reappeared, he was already beside Richard.
"Did you sacrifice your sanity along with everything else? Or did the power gained through sacrifice muddle your brain?"
As he spoke, the Eidolon Dominator swung his jointed limbs. Those scythe-like appendages carried power enough to split the heavens and part the seas.
He could tell that Richard's power was merely the
