"An anchor that anchors the worldline?"
Hearing the Curse incarnation's explanation, Richard felt his mind go blank.
It was not that he could not understand the concept of worldlines, but in his understanding, it was merely an unproven theory, bordering on fantasy.
This was true both in his previous life and in Wizard Civilization.
Richard looked at the Curse incarnation. "Could you explain?"
The Curse incarnation smiled. With a wave of his hand, an image of the Fate Dimension simulated by magic power appeared in the air—namely, the lines of fate.
"He truly found it hard to believe. The instant he came into contact with this truth, he too was as bewildered and helpless as you are.
Listen while I explain it to you slowly."
As he spoke, the Curse incarnation pointed at the image in the air.
"This is the Fate Dimension that most people can see. Every one of our destinies is a line. These lines intertwine with one another, and unless something unexpected happens, their positions do not shift.
Thus, these lines of fate weave themselves into a bolt of cloth. Our intersecting fates become patterns upon that cloth."
As he spoke, the lines of fate in the air grew denser and denser, eventually forming a plane. Upon it appeared the emblem of the Curse School.
"But this is merely an outward appearance, or rather, merely one side that we can touch. When he fought the Civilization Devourer, he saw a deeper vision of fate.
In that instant, he saw countless bolts of such cloth.
Our fate was no more than an insignificant pattern upon one of those countless bolts of cloth."
The Curse incarnation spoke with great excitement. As he spoke, more and more images appeared, bolts of cloth bearing the emblems of other schools emerging
