Within the fortresses, soldiers of the Gods and the Abyss remained at their posts, their eyes fixed tightly on the sky.
In an Abyssalized world, the heavens were always blanketed in Abyss Spore Clouds of every color. Yet at this moment, those Spore Clouds seemed to have been stirred by an invisible giant hand, forming enormous vortices.
Deep within the fortresses, Abyss Broodmothers continuously spewed out newly born biological weapons.
Some of these biological weapons were self-destructing insects, while others were ammunition demons used as shells. They were endlessly transported through the fleshy conduits inside the fortresses to their designated positions.
Among them, there was occasionally a piece of Wizard equipment.
Even abandonment required strategy.
In the Alliance's plans, the defenses of these abandoned worlds were arranged in successive layers.
The outermost layer consisted of Abyss Corruption combined with Abyss Broodmothers, relying on Abyssal creatures to forcibly drag out time. The middle layer consisted of War Fortresses built by the Abyss and Star River Mayflies, supplemented by a small number of Wizard Alchemy weapons.
At the innermost layer, Wizard weapons would replace the Abyss and the Gods Civilization as the primary armaments.
Beyond them lay five Fortress Worlds constructed by the Wizards.
Soon, ripples began to appear in the funnel-shaped sky.
Smooth metallic arcs emerged before the defenders inside the world.
Along with them came drop pods falling like meteors.
