Beside the massive formation of Abyss Titans, Richard's avatar said to Taral Peak at his side, "To be honest, I still don't quite understand your decision. You should be able to see that place is a meat grinder."
The United Military Department's request for assistance from the Abyss Titan Legion was naturally something Richard had to know about.
However, he had not interfered with Taral Peak's decision. The decision to provide support this time had been Taral Peak's own judgment.
Taral Peak did not answer directly. Instead, he asked, "My King, what do you think of the Abyss Titans of the new era?"
Richard paused, then answered after some thought, "They are perfect. The Evolution Tree that the Abyss developed over millions of years has made the Abyss Titans almost flawless.
Evolutions suited to nearly any environment and any situation can be found within their bloodlines."
Taral Peak agreed deeply with this view. He nodded. "My King, that is what I think as well, and so do these Abyss Titans.
That is precisely why I must send them into that meat grinder for trial by fire."
Richard was taken aback. He could not quite understand what connection there was between the two.
Taral Peak continued, "My King, we consider Abyss Titans perfect because we have truly studied our own bloodlines in depth. We understand where this bloodline is powerful and what we can accomplish by developing it.
But these youngsters are different.
They are born with Abyss Titan bloodlines, and limited by their circumstances, they have no deep understanding of their own bloodlines.
Their minds are like those of children. They can easily be dazzled by the superficial strength of their bloodlines and fall into instinct.
Therefore, they need trials. They need trials of blood and fire.
