Volume Nine + Afterword Completion Reflections + Thanks for the Tips
Volume Nine had thirty-three chapters, and the afterword had three, making thirty-six chapters in total.
After some thought, I decided to move the title "History Unending" to the afterword.
The progress in Volume Nine was very fast. Although I sped it up temporarily, the outline itself had always moved quickly.
The original plan only covered one or two volumes, and there was almost no intention of depicting the story after Dao-Proving. The future segments were also a patch added on later, which was why I brought out the larger backstory of the entire series universe, yet there was still little depiction of conflicts between Dao-Provers.
With the author's shallow understanding, I could not comprehend why a group of Dao-Provers capable of opening heaven and dividing earth would fight to the death over such chicken-feather, garlic-skin trifles. But if Dao-Provers were too harmonious, there would be little conflict and no plot to write.
Besides, if Dao-Provers were all wise and farsighted people, then would a genius capable of becoming immortal at four hundred, one who had comprehended the Creation Dao Fruit, really stand by and watch the protagonist suffer all kinds of grinding hardships?
From the standpoint of reasonable plot progression, Fu Henghua's road to Dao-Proving was bound to be smooth.
So Heng Hua was destined to prove the Dao, and there was not much plot conflict. He would only mess around on his own, bestowing blessings and creating things all over the various continents... There was not much to write about.
I simply explained some background, while working some scattered settings into it. If inspiration strikes later, I might write another book from the perspective of Tianbao Continent or that continent of weapons. (Undecided—let fate take its course. This
