  • Yuanshi Tianzun left to discuss the battle plan with Meng Chen's Eldest Senior Brother and handed the sect's affairs over to Meng Chen.

Ch. 222Handling Church Affairs

After breaking through to Hunyuan Golden Immortal, Meng Chen reviewed the Chan Sect, Myriad Witch Kingdom, and Human Race, then planned reforms to strengthen his forces. He left the Chan Sect with a demanding training program and turned to the next steps for the Myriad Witch Kingdom’s overseas expansion.

  • Meng Chen sent an avatar to Jade Capital Mountain to tell Azure Dragon Lord Cangwu about his breakthrough, then reviewed Chan Sect records and found that many disciples had advanced to Grand Golden Immortal while Yellow Dragon True Man had fallen behind.
  • Meng Chen drafted a Chan Sect training program that included cultivation secret realms, a contribution-point system, strength assessments, an Immortal Dao Conference, broader recruitment, and an Enforcement Elder.

  • Rogue cultivators praised Yuanshi Tianzun, while Meng Chen left for another region and received a descent of merit.
  • Sage Jieyin and Sage Zhunti discussed how Meng Chen’s method might help the West, but recognized that the Western earth veins were too extensive for his limited supply of corpses to repair alone.
  • Sage Zhunti concluded that Meng Chen must have another way to restore the West and proposed asking Yuanshi Tianzun for permission to invite him.
  • Sage Jieyin agreed that they should make the request and said they could retrieve the hidden pieces planted within the Chan Sect because they could not deceive God-Emperor Meng Zhang.

Ch. 226Red-Butt Horse Monkey

Meng Chen repaired the Earth Veins and explained how the Undying Tree could restore the Western Ancestor Veins, though he refused to sacrifice it. At the site of Di Jun’s self-destruction, he confronted Wuzhiqi after the monkey tried to steal a Chaos Creature’s corpse.

Yuanshi Tianzun offered a way to save the west, but said one of them would have to sacrifice his Saintly Body to become its Ancestral Vein.

  • Meng Chen returned to the Primordial Wilderness and continued repairing the Earth Veins after deciding not to interfere with the Ten Continents Divine Court.
