  • Jin visited Konoha Hospital and tried to flirt with a medical worker, but Tsunade caught him and punched him with Monster Strength Punch.
  • Jin invited Tsunade to join his Research and Development Department, but she refused because she was busy at the hospital and planned to leave Konoha.
  • Jin asked whether Tsunade wanted to see the dead again, provoking her into a furious outburst.
  • Jin said he could create a jutsu that brought someone fully back to life without consuming life force, and Tsunade considered whether he might succeed.
  • Jin left Tsunade time to decide, then found more than twenty Uchiha ninja, Hiruko, Orochimaru, Minato Namikaze, and Kushina at the department the next day.

Ch. 207Research and Development Department Fully Staffed

  • Minato Namikaze asked to join the department, and Jin discovered that he was already developing several techniques, including a wind-attribute Chakra Inner Cultivation.

  • Jin showed Minato Namikaze the department's research archive and assigned Kushina to study Fūinjutsu.
  • Jin welcomed Tsunade to the department, then turned his attention to the department's affairs beyond its walls.
  • In New City in the Land of Rain, Jin examined bound ninja and questioned why Kusagakure was acting so brazenly there.

Ch. 208Jin Sets His Sights on Kusagakure

Jin captured three Kusagakure ninjas who had come to steal Rain Ninja and uncover Hanzō’s techniques, then considered using Kusagakure as a cover for the Land of Rain. After Hanzō rejected the plan as too risky, Jin proposed wiping Kusagakure out entirely.

  • Kusagakure ninjas entered the Land of Rain to capture Rain Ninja and steal information about Hanzō’s ninjutsu and poison arts.
  • The captured intruders broke free and took Jin hostage, but Jin revealed his identity as the Daimyō and bound them with vines.
  • Jin used the Soul Insight Technique to learn the Kusagakure ninjas’ mission, then killed them.
  • Jin proposed using Kusagakure’s identity for trade, but Hanzō warned that its ninjas would expose them if given the chance.
  • Jin considered taking control of Kusagakure, then asked what would happen if they wiped it out completely.

Ch. 209How to Deal with Kusagakure

Jin planned to destroy Kusagakure and assigned Kakuzu to lead the attack while Hanzō guarded the Land of Rain. After Kakuzu and Hanzō argued about Jin, the chapter shifted to Kinoki watching the army train and reflecting on the Land of Rain’s growing hope.

  • Jin explained that he wanted to build an army to give ordinary people a chance to become powerful, then planned to seal Kusagakure and destroy it.
  • Kakuzu volunteered to attack Kusagakure, Hanzō agreed to guard the Land of Rain, and Jin took responsibility for the daimyō of the Land of Grass.
  • Hanzō confronted Kakuzu after the council and questioned his willingness to serve Jin, but Kakuzu said money could persuade him even to kill Uchiha Jin.

  • Jin secretly listened from the ceiling and wondered whether Hanzō and Kakuzu had been speaking badly about him.

  • Jin left to scout Kusagakure and told the others to notify him when the ninjas had finished training.

Ch. 211Arrival at Kusagakure

  • Jin traveled toward Kusagakure in a carriage driven by Shimada, a noble’s guard ninja whose eyes concealed the Sharingan.
  • Grass Ninja surrounded the carriage and refused to let Shimada enter the village, so Jin told him to wait elsewhere.
  • After the carriage left, Shimada walked into a concealed corner and slit his own throat.
  • Mui took the reins and asked Jin what help he wanted; Jin claimed an elder from his family had gone missing and said his servants would bring payment in a few days.
  • Mui drove Jin into Kusagakure, where Jin remarked that the village seemed small before the carriage arrived at their destination.

Ch. 212Uzumaki Shiranoka

  • At the Land of Grass daimyo’s palace, the daimyo entered his bedroom and found Jin seated beside a tied-up, unconscious girl.
  • Jin greeted the daimyo with his Sharingan spinning.

Ch. 218The End of the Kusagakure Operation
