Charlotte Doyle paid no mind to Wes's shouting. Instead, he quickly surveyed the entire factory. The factory was not small, divided into three floors: two above ground and one underground. The first floor housed several cars, along with some tables, chairs, and sofas.
There were twelve people on the first floor, all armed with firearms and positioned in various spots. However, four of them guarded the entrance to the basement.
Seeing the four guards at the basement entrance, Charlotte Doyle secretly guessed, Could the basement be where the vault is located?
At this moment, seeing that Bob wasn't responding to him and wasn't going out, but was instead looking around, Wes instantly became enraged.
He walked directly in front of Charlotte Doyle and shouted, "Bob, are you deaf? I told you to go out and stand guard!"
As he spoke, he reached out to push Bob out.
At this time, Charlotte, who had already gathered information about the factory, directly rewarded the Russian brute who was trying to push him with a kunai, instantly piercing his heart.
Wes looked at the kunai in his heart in disbelief, pointing at Charlotte Doyle.
"You... you... you..."
After a long time without being able to utter a complete sentence, Wes finally fell backward, dying on the spot.
Aiden, who had been watching Wes closely, was instantly stunned and immediately shouted, "Bob has betrayed us! Kill him!"
At the same time, he drew his pistol to fire. The other members also reacted to Aiden's warning.
At this moment, Charlotte Doyle, who had already scouted everything, instantly slid out eight kunai, scattering them in all directions like a shower of blossoms.
The kunai instantly embedded themselves at the feet of several gangsters. Seeing that the kunai hadn't hit anyone but had instead stuck into the ground beneath them, the men were about to mock them when they noticed the paper tied to the kunai instantly ignite.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
A series of explosions rang out, instantly killing everyone except the guards at the basement entrance.
Hearing the explosions downstairs, the gangsters on the second floor immediately reacted, shouting, "Enemy attack!"
They immediately grabbed their firearms and rushed downstairs to provide support.
As for the four members guarding the basement entrance, three of them were killed by explosive tags shot into their positions. The sole survivor was severely wounded. After notifying the second floor via the intercom to send reinforcements and for the basement members to remain vigilant, he passed out.
At this time, the smoke from the explosions had yet to dissipate. The first two gangsters to rush down raised their guns alertly, trying to locate the enemy.
Seeing a figure emerge from the smoke, one of the gangsters shouted, "There!"
Instantly, both of them pulled the trigger, flames erupting as several bullets rained down on the figure in the smoke.
The bullets passed through the figure in the smoke. There was no scream, no sensation of hitting a human body.
It was Charlotte Doyle using the Shadow Clone Jutsu to create an illusion and draw the others' attention.
The next moment, several shuriken were thrown towards the direction of the gunfire.
"Ah..."
Two screams. The two gangsters who had just fired died on the spot.
Hearing the gunfire stop and the screams that followed, the faces of the gangsters on the second floor, who had just grabbed their weapons and were running downstairs to provide support, changed. Those who had been rushing down became much more cautious, slowing their pace and descending the stairs gradually, preparing to fire blindly around the corner.
At this moment, Charlotte Doyle sprinted and arrived at the stairwell entrance to the second floor. He crouched down, then charged forward. The concrete floor cracked as his figure shot up to the second floor like lightning.
The people preparing to provide support along the way had no time to react before Charlotte Doyle slit their throats with his kunai, ending their lives.
Charlotte Doyle continued his onslaught all the way to the second floor without stopping. His figure weaved through a hail of bullets, taking lives like the Grim Reaper.
At this point, the gangsters on the second floor completely collapsed, no longer forming an effective counterattack. Three of them even took the opportunity to smash through the windows, shouting loudly as they jumped down to the ground below.
Apart from the three who jumped, all the gangsters on the second floor had been killed by Charlotte Doyle's kunai.
And he himself was completely unharmed!
He walked to the shattered window and looked at the three fleeing gangsters, who were limping but still trying to escape. Charlotte Doyle produced three shuriken and threw them at the escaping gangsters.
"Swish! Swish! Swish!"
Three shuriken instantly embedded themselves in the necks of the three men. The next second, the three men, who had not yet reached the road, fell to the ground. Blood gushed from their necks, staining the ground beneath them red.
Seeing that all three were dead, Charlotte Doyle nodded in satisfaction. Good, not a single one escaped.
He flicked the blood off his kunai and descended from the second floor, arriving at the entrance to the basement where the four guards had been.
Upon entering the entrance, he found one of the guards was not quite dead. Charlotte Doyle stepped forward and delivered a finishing blow, sending him to Satan's embrace. Only then did he begin to carefully examine the entrance.
He discovered that the basement entrance was blocked by a massive security door, not a wooden door, nor a typical household security door, but a steel security door at least ten centimeters thick.
He had been wondering why, when reinforcements from the second floor had come down, none had come up from the basement. It turned out this door had isolated the inside from the outside; people outside would need a chance to open it.
At this moment, the six guards inside the basement were filled with unease.
One gangster holding an assault rifle spoke, "Tana, there's no more movement outside. Have they dealt with the enemy?"
The man called Tana did not answer. Instead, he pressed the intercom on his waist and spoke into his earpiece, "Sam, what's the situation outside? Has the crisis been resolved?"
At this moment, Charlotte Doyle outside the security door twitched his ears. He heard a voice from the earpiece of a corpse on the ground. Charlotte Doyle walked over, picked up the intercom and earpiece, and said to the person inside, "Sam is dead. You're next!"
The next moment, Charlotte Doyle crushed the intercom in his hand, and the fragments slid from his fingers.
Behind the security door.
Everyone looked at each other, speechless. The words coming through the walkie-talkie weren't just heard by him; all the guards had heard them too.
"He can't get in. This security door was custom-made by Viggo, based on bank vault doors. It can't be opened without high explosives."
After hearing Tana's analysis, the other five men calmed down a little from their nervous emotions.
Tana then spoke, "Mode, call Viggo right now and have him send reinforcements. Tell him the base is under attack."
The man called Mode immediately reacted to this. He hurried to the side, picked up the phone on the desk, and dialed.
