Hearing Coulson's conditions, Kurotsuchi thought for a moment, then agreed.
"Okay. None of that is a problem."
"But there's one thing I want to ask. What kind of land could possibly be worth three billion dollars?"
When she stated the value of the Physical Enhancement Serum, Coulson was not the slightest bit surprised. Instead, a smile appeared on his face as he said, "Depending on the location chosen, the size of the land, the value of the buildings on it, and other factors, the price will vary. Any portion short of three billion will be returned to you in cash."
"After all, on Earth, you'll need money to spend as well."
Hearing Coulson say that, Kurotsuchi nodded.
"Then let me see what places are available."
Coulson took a tablet computer from his briefcase and opened a map marked with the locations of the various Ninja village outposts, as well as the selectable areas.
"The locations marked in white are all available for selection."
"The ones marked in red are the locations of the other Ninja villages."
Kurotsuchi took it and looked. Konoha was in Queens, Sunagakure was in Brooklyn, Kirigakure was in Manhattan, Cloud Village was in Bronx, and the Sound Ninja base was in San Francisco. Looking at New York, the only available borough left was Staten Island. One of the Five Great Nations, Iwagakure, couldn't very well come to New York and squeeze into the same borough as another Ninja village. Thinking of this, Kurotsuchi pointed at the location of Staten Island and said, "We'll choose this place."
