After Aunt May closed the door and left, Ned asked in a low voice, "God, she doesn't know?"
Peter Parker explained as he got dressed, "No one knows."
"Mr. Stark knows because he made the Suit. Shisui Uchiha knows because he's a Superhuman and also my good friend."
"Yeah, that's it."
Hearing Peter Parker's explanation, Ned cried out, "The one Tony Stark gave you?"
"Are you an Avenger?"
Peter Parker thought for a moment, then said, "Basically, yeah."
Ned grabbed the bunk bed beside him and exclaimed, "Oh my God!"
Peter Parker quickly stepped forward and said, "You can't tell anyone. You have to keep it a secret."
Ned asked in confusion, "A secret?"
"Why?"
As Ned saw it, if he had powers like that, he'd want the whole world to know he was a powerful Superhuman.
Peter Parker pointed toward the door and said, "You know what she's like."
"If she knew people were trying to kill me every night, she wouldn't let me keep doing this."
"Please, Ned."
Hearing Peter Parker say that, Ned, though still a little confused, nodded and agreed.
"Okay, okay, okay."
"I'll be on your side."
"But I don't think I can keep this secret. I've never had a secret like this before."
Hearing Ned's words, Peter Parker stressed again, "Ned, May can't know."
"I can't do that to her right now."
"You know?"
"I mean, after everything she's been through."
"I'm begging you."
Ned looked at Peter Parker's anxious expression, froze for a few seconds, then said, "OK."
Peter Parker still wasn't reassured and said, "Swear it, okay?"
Ned nodded.
"I swear."
Only then did Peter Parker relax.
"Thank you."
"No problem."
Then Peter Parker turned and walked toward the door, covering his head as he said, "I can't believe this is happening."
