Seeing Cross looking a bit short on cash, Charlotte smiled and said, "Besides that 5 million, how much more can you offer?"
Carlos paused before replying, "I can offer another 1 million, but that's still not enough for your fee. Please help me."
He knew very well that hiring Charlotte started at a base price of a million just to kill one person, and if the enemy was powerful, four million or even higher was possible.
And the Brotherhood of Assassins wasn't just one person, but the entire fighting force of a massive organization. Moreover, a mission to destroy an assassin organization like this wouldn't even be up for negotiation at tens of millions. More importantly, no assassin would take on a mission to clear out a killer organization.
Even listing it at The Continental Hotel wouldn't work, unless the High Table itself stepped in.
Looking at Carlos, who still had 1 million, Charlotte said, "How about this, Mr. Cross? You pay 3 million to hire us to protect your son, and then another 3 million plus the Wax Bath formula to hire me to help you wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins."
"As for the protection period for your son, Wesley, it will be until the Brotherhood of Assassins is eliminated. However, there's one thing I need to mention beforehand: the spoils of war from eliminating the Brotherhood of Assassins will belong to me."
Upon hearing "Wax Bath," Carlos glanced at Ginny, assuming she had told Charlotte. After some thought, he said, "There are no problems with any of that. My goal is also to destroy him, and I don't care about his legacy."
"But if you go with me to wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins, then who will protect my son? After all, the assassins sent by the Brotherhood of Assassins are not ordinary people."
Charlotte's expression was very confident yet very serious as he said, "Mr. Cross, this is my agency. Of course, I'm not alone. We have two very powerful ninjas here, and Iruka, whom you met earlier, will also be dispatched to protect your son."
"I will assign Iruka as the leader, with Rock Lee and Sasuke Uchiha forming a three-person team to provide comprehensive protection for your son. Their strength will be far greater than you can imagine."
Carlos didn't know who Rock Lee or Sasuke Uchiha were, but he had a deep impression of the man with the scar on his face. Although that person didn't exude killing intent and had the aura of a teacher, he felt danger from him.
Yes, he wasn't mistaken; he sensed danger. This danger wasn't just from that Asian man but also from Charlotte Doyle in front of him.
Over the years, his ability to remain safe wasn't solely due to bullet time or his ricocheting gun-fu, but more importantly, it was his inexplicable sense of danger.
Although he already knew the other party was powerful, for his son's safety, Carlos still looked at Ginny, wanting to get a definitive answer from her.
Seeing Carlos's questioning gaze, Ginny said, "Carlos, you can completely trust their strength. Protecting your son with them is absolutely no problem."
"If you're still not at ease, I'll also join Iruka's team to protect Wesley."
Hearing Ginny say this, Carlos finally felt relieved and said, "Alright, then let's split it into two separate commissions."
Seeing Cross agree, Charlotte said, "Ginny, have Iruka bring in the two mission scrolls."
Ginny walked out of the reception room and instructed Iruka to prepare the scrolls for signing the missions.
"Mr. Charlotte, how would you prefer I pay the mission rewards?"
Charlotte looked at Carlos and replied, "We accept both card and cash. After all, my agency is a legitimate business, and we pay our taxes on time."
"Then I'll pay by card. I'll pay the full amount right away. As for the Wax Bath formula, I'll give it to you directly before the operation."
Charlotte shrugged, indicating no problem, as no employer would pay the full amount upfront.
At this moment, Iruka entered with two mission scrolls. After listing the mission details and rewards, Carlos signed the scrolls, paid the fees, and left Charlotte's agency after providing some information about his son.
As for the start time of the protection mission, it would begin tomorrow. The extermination mission, however, would require Carlos's notification, as he still needed to go back and make some preparations.
After Carlos left, Ginny had a slight frown on her brow as she looked at Charlotte and asked, "Charlotte, are you really going to wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins with Cross?"
"Although I introduced Carlos, wiping out the Brotherhood of Assassins..."
"The risk there is not small; it can cost lives. They are not like the assassins from The Continental Hotel, who mostly aim for the body. Those people go for headshots, and your bulletproof vest won't stop their bullets."
Charlotte smiled and said, "Ginny, you need to trust your boss. You know, if I dared to propose this mission, I'm confident I can complete it. Don't worry."
Seeing that Ginny was still worried, Charlotte didn't dwell on it. He said, "Starting tomorrow, you and Iruka will form a four-person team to protect Wesley. You need to be careful too."
"I have another task for you: help me keep an eye on John Wick. The moment you receive news that his house was blown up, notify me immediately."
"Baba Yaga? I heard he killed Viggo last night. Even so, someone dared to blow up his house?"
Charlotte chuckled, "There are always some people who court death, just like Viggo's son."
Ginny patted her forehead. America never lacked people who courted death. She then sighed, "Alright, boss, but remember to give me a bonus!"
"No problem."
After sending Ginny away, Charlotte picked up the two mission scrolls from the table, entered his system panel, and opened the Task Gathering Hall. Seeing that only one mission could be submitted at the moment, he submitted the mission to protect Wesley first.
Soon, after being appraised by the Task Gathering Hall, it was identified as a B-Rank Mission. Completing it would reward 2000 reputation, 200,000 copper coins, and a Normal Treasure Chest.
Seeing that he could get a treasure chest, Charlotte was quite satisfied. A Normal Treasure Chest could randomly yield copper coins, reputation, gold coins, C/B ninja fragments, or a recruitment scroll.
As for the remaining mission, it would have to wait until Rock Lee and Sasuke completed their commission today before it could be submitted. However, Charlotte Doyle had a premonition that the extermination mission would be rated an A-Rank.
Walking out of the reception room, he saw Ginny discussing information about their protection target, Wesley, and the potential strength of the enemies the Brotherhood of Assassins might send, as they formulated an initial combat plan.
