Looking at the somewhat cash-strapped Cross, Charlotte smiled. "Aside from these five million, how much else can you offer?"

Carlos paused before saying, "I can come up with another million, but that still won't be enough to cover the cost of hiring you."

He knew perfectly well that hiring Charlotte started at one million just to kill a single person. If the target was powerful, four million or even more was entirely possible.

And the Brotherhood of Assassins was such a massive organization. This was not about killing one person, but wiping out the organization's active forces. Not to mention destroying an assassin organization outright—there was no room for negotiation on a job like that even at tens of millions. More importantly, no assassin would accept a mission to purge an assassin organization.

Not even if it were posted at The Continental Hotel, unless the High Table stepped in.

Seeing that Carlos still had another million, Charlotte said, "How about this, Mr. Cross? You pay three million to hire us to protect your son. Then you pay another three million, plus the formula for the wax bath, to hire me to wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins."

"As for the duration of your son Wesley's protection, it will end once the Brotherhood of Assassins has been eliminated. But I need to make one thing clear in advance: all spoils from wiping out the Brotherhood of Assassins will belong to me."

At the mention of the wax bath, Carlos glanced at Ginny, assuming she had told Charlotte. After thinking it over, he said, "That is all fine. My goal is to destroy them anyway. I do not care about their assets."

"But if you are going with me to wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins, who will protect my son? The assassins they send are far beyond ordinary people."

Charlotte looked supremely confident, but he spoke with utter seriousness. "Mr. Cross, this is an Agency. I am obviously not the only person here. We have two very capable shinobi, and Iruka, whom you met earlier, will also be going out to protect your son."

"I will send out a three-man team led by Iruka, with Rock Lee and Sasuke Uchiha, to provide your son with all-around protection. Their strength will be even greater than you imagine."

Carlos did not know who Rock Lee or Sasuke Uchiha were, but he had been deeply impressed by the man with the scar on his face. Though the man showed no killing intent and even carried the air of a teacher, Carlos had sensed danger from him.

Yes, danger. He had sensed it not only from that asian man, but also from Charlotte Doyle standing before him.

Over the years, he had remained safe not only because of Bullet Time and his Gun Fu that could curve bullets. The greater reason was his inexplicable sense of danger.

Although he already knew they were powerful, Carlos still looked toward Ginny for reassurance, for the sake of his son's safety.

Seeing Carlos's questioning look, Ginny said, "Carlos, you can rest completely assured about their strength. There will be no problem with them protecting your son."

"If you are still worried, I will join Iruka's team and protect Wesley with them."

Hearing Ginny say that, Carlos finally relaxed. "All right, then let's divide it into two commissions."

Seeing Cross agree, Charlotte said, "Ginny, have Iruka bring in two Mission Scrolls."

Ginny left the Reception Room and informed Iruka to prepare the scrolls for signing the missions.

"Mr. Charlotte, what would be the most convenient way for me to pay the mission fees?"

Charlotte looked at Carlos and said, "Card or cash, we accept both. After all, my Agency is a legitimate business, and we pay our taxes on time."

"Then I'll pay by card. I'll pay the full amount right away. As for the wax bath formula, I'll give it to you before the operation."

Charlotte shrugged, indicating that he had no problem with it. After all, no employer ever paid the entire amount upfront.

Iruka soon entered carrying two Mission Scrolls. After the mission details and rewards had all been written down, Carlos signed the scrolls, paid the fees, provided some information about his son, and left the Charlotte Agency.

The protection mission would begin tomorrow. As for the purge mission, they would have to wait for Carlos's notice, since he still needed to go back and make some preparations.

After Carlos left, Ginny had a trace of worry between her brows as she looked at Charlotte. "Charlotte, are you really going to wipe out the Brotherhood of Assassins with Cross?"

"I introduced Carlos to you, but wiping out the Brotherhood of Assassins..."

"The risk there is no small matter. People will die. They are nothing like the assassins at The Continental Hotel, who mostly aim for the body. Those people go for headshots. Your bulletproof vest cannot stop their bullets."

Charlotte smiled. "Ginny, have faith in your boss. Since I dared to propose this mission myself, I am confident I can complete it. Do not worry."

Seeing that Ginny was still uneasy, Charlotte did not dwell on it. "Starting tomorrow, you and Iruka's group will form a four-person team to protect Wesley. You need to watch your own safety too."

"I have an additional task for you. Keep an eye on John Wick's movements. The day you hear that his house has been blown up, remember to notify me immediately."

"Night Demon? I heard he killed Viggo last night. In that situation, someone would still dare to blow up his house?"

Charlotte smiled. "There will always be idiots looking to get themselves killed, just like Viggo's son."

Ginny slapped her forehead. The United States never lacked people looking to get themselves killed. Then she sighed. "All right, boss, but remember to give me a bonus!"

"No problem."

After sending Ginny away, Charlotte picked up the two Mission Scrolls on the table, entered the system panel, and opened the Task Gathering Hall. Seeing that he could only submit one mission for now, he submitted the mission to protect Wesley first.

The Task Gathering Hall quickly evaluated it as a B-Rank Mission. Upon completion, he could receive 2,000 Prestige, 200,000 Copper Coins, and one Normal Treasure Chest.

Charlotte was quite satisfied to see that there was a Treasure Chest to claim. A Normal Treasure Chest could randomly yield one of the following: Copper Coins, Prestige, Gold Coins, C- or B-rank Ninja Fragments, or a Recruitment Scroll.

As for the remaining mission, he would need to wait until Rock Lee and Sasuke completed their commission today before submitting it. However, Charlotte Doyle had a feeling that the purge mission should be rated A-rank.

Leaving the Reception Room, he saw Ginny discussing information about the protection target, Wesley, with Iruka, along with the possible strength of enemies the Brotherhood of Assassins might send, as they drafted a preliminary battle plan.
