Seeing Charlotte Doyle hang up the phone, Carlos said with a grave expression, "Did Sloan and his people put out a bounty on you?"

Charlotte looked at Carlos, who was asking, and replied, "Cross, Sloan has placed a 10 million bounty with The Continental Hotel, primarily to kill the person I sent to protect your son."

"I suspect they want to take advantage of the assassins coming to take your son while there's chaos."

"Although my subordinates are not afraid of those assassins, Cross, this is still very troublesome. So, for your son's safety, I hope we can act as soon as possible."

Carlos knew Charlotte meant well, but he still said, "I need more time. My bombs aren't finished yet, and we need rats, lots of rats."

Charlotte Doyle shook her head and said, "Cross, your plan requires too much preparation and takes too long. Compared to your rat bombs, I have something better."

"We'll act tonight. Cross, go back and prepare your weapons. Delaying will not benefit you."

Carlos asked with a solemn expression, "Charlotte, there are quite a few people at The Textile Factory. Are you really confident?"

"Cross, go prepare. Tonight, you will witness the true strength of a legendary assassin."

Seeing Charlotte say this, Carlos didn't insist further. He was indeed worried about his son's safety. Since Charlotte was confident, he decided to take a gamble with her.

As for the rat bombs, he would make as many as he could. It was impossible not to bring them; they were his trump card.

After confirming they would act tonight, Carlos got up and bid farewell to Charlotte. He needed to prepare his firearms and bombs.

Leaving Charlotte's house, Carlos walked towards the elevator. He happened to see a delivery person coming out of the elevator, holding a box of pizza.

Their eyes met, but Carlos didn't pay it any mind. He walked to the elevator and found that it had already gone down. After pressing the button, Carlos waited.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Doyle, inside the room, was about to perform her daily check-in after seeing Cross off.

"Ding dong!"

The doorbell rang, interrupting Charlotte's action. She glanced at the living room where she had just spoken with Carlos, not seeing anything left behind. Had he forgotten to say something?

Walking to the door, Charlotte opened it and saw a Black man dressed as a delivery person, holding a pizza.

Charlotte frowned slightly and was about to speak when she saw the man pull a handgun from under the pizza box, preparing to fire.

Charlotte reacted quickly, kicking out before he could shoot.

As she kicked, Charlotte channeled her Chakra.

"Thump!"

The Black assassin was sent flying, crashing into the wall in the hallway. The wall instantly cracked, and the assassin's head lolled to the side as he died instantly.

The pizza box he was holding fell in a freefall after he was thrown. The lid of the pizza box instantly flipped open, revealing the pizza and what was inside.

"Holy shit!"

Charlotte cursed. It was a bomb, a horizontally placed liquid bomb.

She moved at her fastest speed, catching it before the pizza box hit the ground and throwing it towards the end of the hallway. Then, she twisted and retreated into the room, leaning against the wall to await the explosion.

This series of actions was completed in a flash, with incredible speed. The next second.

"Boom!"

A violent explosion sounded, making the room shake. Plaster and dust fell, and the building's alarm immediately went off.

When the explosion stopped, Charlotte walked out of the room and glanced at the hallway. The wall at the end of the hallway had been blown out.

Cold wind rushed in through the gaping hole. Charlotte said softly, "Quite powerful!"

Because everything happened so quickly, Carlos heard the explosion before he could even wait for the elevator and immediately ran towards Charlotte's direction.

Seeing Charlotte unharmed, Carlos asked, "Charlotte, are you okay?"

Charlotte's expression was grim, and her tone was angry. "I'm fine. Cross, go back and prepare quickly. Tonight, I'm going to wipe out that damn Textile Factory and kill Sloan."

Seeing Charlotte like an enraged lion, Carlos didn't say anything more and left quickly. Since this place had already been attacked, what about his son?

Carlos, who had initially felt it was a bit rushed, now didn't feel it was too early at all. He wished he could storm The Textile Factory and destroy the Brotherhood of Assassins immediately, as he truly feared that if he were any later, his son would be dead.

Seeing Cross leave, Charlotte Doyle was truly furious. It wasn't just because of Sloan's bounty, but more so because of the assassin from The Continental Hotel.

Someone had actually made a move against her so quickly. Did she, a legendary assassin, have any face left?

Especially that bomb just now; if it had exploded in front of her, she would have been injured even with the protection of her equipment.

First, it was a bomb. What would come next? TNT? Cluster grenades? Or would someone directly bring a rocket launcher to blast her?

Assassins would stop at nothing. It wasn't impossible for someone to be that despicable.

"Sloan, you're dead!"

Just as Charlotte was about to return to her room, her phone rang again.

"Charlotte, need help?"

Hearing that familiar phrase, Charlotte's face darkened. The person on the other end was none other than John Wick, whom she had saved before.

And that familiar phrase was something she had said to John several times before. She never expected him to throw it back at her exactly as it was.

"John, this is just a small matter, I can handle it myself."

"Charlotte, what about your subordinates? Can they endure it too?"

"You still have my Blood Pact Badge. You can use it and let me go protect your subordinates."

Hearing John Wick's plan, Charlotte was a bit speechless. He was really eager for her to use the Blood Pact Badge.

"John, tell those assassins from The Continental Hotel for me, tell them to be careful. They don't have the life to earn this money, let alone spend it."

"As for your offer, John, I'm sorry, but I believe in their strength."

On the other end of the phone, John Wick was a bit helpless. Charlotte had rejected his offer, but he still said, "Charlotte, contact me if you need help. As for the notification, I'll have Winston pass on your message."

Then the call ended. Charlotte returned to her room and glanced at the dust on the floor, thinking to herself, This place can't be stayed in for now. I should find another place.
