Chapter 3: John Wick

Ninja recruited simultaneously, with the combat slots activated, can be manifested, becoming a living person in the Marvel world.

Charlotte extended a hand to greet him. He had met John more than once.

Because of the summoning dogs, he had met John and his wife multiple times while walking his dog, and they had exchanged contact information.

When John received the puppy as a gift from his lover, he had called Charlotte for advice on raising a dog.

They were considered fellow dog lovers with some rapport. Especially when John encountered Charlotte at The Continental Hotel and greeted him, he was also taken aback, not expecting him to be a killer for The Continental Hotel.

You see, he had retired from the assassin world four years ago after his lover quit, severing almost all contact with everyone at The Continental Hotel. He wasn't very familiar with Charlotte's specific job.

In the underground bar of The Continental Hotel, Charlotte and Ginny sat in a booth not far from the bar entrance, drinking bourbon.

"Charlotte, John Wick's bounty has increased to 4 million US dollars, four gold coins. Are you sure you're not considering it?"

Ginny whispered the latest information she knew into Charlotte's ear.

Charlotte extended his index finger and shook it.

He indicated that he wasn't considering the mission and explained, "I have better plans."

He was very optimistic about John Wick. Although he was just an 'ordinary person,' his strength was formidable, and he was known as Baba Yaga, decisive in his actions.

If he could recruit him to help, it would be a significant boost for him in the early stages.

After all, his three ninjas, while formidable, were too few in number, making it difficult to accomplish certain tasks.

As they were talking, the bar door was opened, and John Wick walked in.

Seeing the newcomer, Charlotte greeted him again.

His voice reached John's ears.

"Hi! John."

Hearing Charlotte's voice, John saw two people not far from the entrance. He then scanned the bar and spotted Winston in a booth.

John then walked up to Charlotte and said, "Good evening, Charlotte!"

Seeing John approach to greet her, Charlotte said, "John, your price has doubled. 4 million plus 4 gold coins. Are you sure you don't need my help?"

"Some of these newcomers are quite unruly."

Hearing Charlotte's words, John Wick's brow furrowed slightly. As an assassin, if someone was eagerly offering help, it was likely because they needed something from him. Since he had already retired from the assassin world and this was merely a personal vendetta, he didn't want to get entangled in this mess again.

However, the bounty on his head had doubled, and there were 4 gold coins, which made John realize the situation was no longer simple.

Other assassins might come after him for the bounty, but thinking of his own strength, he believed he could handle it. In the end, he politely declined Charlotte's offer, stating he could manage for now.

Afterward, John Wick left Charlotte and walked directly towards the booth where Winston was.

He had some things to discuss with Winston and also needed to know the current location of those scoundrels.
