The Continental Hotel and the High Table

John Wick was surprised by Charlotte E. Doe's sudden appearance and rescue. He had thought he was about to join his beloved wife and dog.

He then said, "Thank you, Charlotte. I owe you one."

After speaking, John Wick prepared to try and untie the zip ties binding him.

Seeing John about to get busy, Charlotte E. Doe said, "No need for all that trouble."

He directly threw a dart, cleanly slicing through the zip ties on John's wrists.

"So cool!"

John Wick said after a moment, and then no longer lingered. He immediately picked up the Kel-Tec KSG shotgun from the ground and said as he ran, "Charlotte, I'll thank you later at The Continental Hotel. I have something to do now."

With that, he rushed out of the storeroom.

Sunlight shone on Charlotte E. Doe. He took out a kunai and, under the sun, waved it towards a certain direction. The reflected light instantly flashed to Marcus on the rooftop.

Marcus realized he had been discovered. As expected of an assassin with a title, he didn't make any unnecessary moves. He was here to rescue John Wick, and seeing his old friend had resolved the crisis without him needing to act, he was satisfied.

Putting away his sniper rifle, Marcus prepared to leave this place of trouble.

Meanwhile, outside, John Wick had completely cornered Viggo and had used his shotgun to kill Viggo's driver with one shot.

"Viggo, where is he?"

John Wick fired a shot next to Viggo, then pointed his gun at Viggo.

After getting the whereabouts of Viggo's son from him and agreeing to cancel the bounty on John.

John Wick also agreed not to make a move on Viggo.

Charlotte E. Doe, who had left the storeroom, did not show himself. Instead, relying on his speed and stealth as a ninja, he left the area without being exposed.

He didn't care about the reconciliation between John Wick and Viggo.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Doyle, having left Little Russia, quickly returned to the doorway of The Continental Hotel. He tossed a Gold Coin to the Doorman as payment for entry. Back in his hotel room, he waited for John to return to express his gratitude.

Charlotte Doyle was quite satisfied with the successful completion of his mission. He had saved John's life by killing just two Gangster Minions, and in return, received a promise. This was a worthwhile transaction.

Thinking about the Gold Coin he had just used, Charlotte felt a bit speechless.

These Gold Coins were issued and promoted by the High Table, and their purchasing power was truly baffling.

At The Continental Hotel, any service, including Assassin Service, had a minimum price of one Gold Coin.

However, one Gold Coin, at the lower end, could only get someone to help watch a pet in the hotel for a few hours.

At the higher end, the same one Gold Coin could even hire a reasonably strong assassin to complete an assassination mission.

Keep in mind that John Wick, the assassin known as the Night Demon, had a bounty of only four Gold Coins on his head. Four Gold Coins were enough to attract assassins to kill within The Continental Hotel, disregarding the Rules.

Without Gold Coins, only US Dollars, you might not be able to hire an assassin from The Continental Hotel.

It could be said that the purchasing power of these Gold Coins was a mystery, fluctuating greatly. Yet, under the promotion of the High Table, these Gold Coins were the hard currency of the assassin world.

The foundation supporting the Gold Coin as an item was The Continental Hotel. It was like a mercenary guild for the assassin world. Here, bounty missions were posted, Intelligence could be gathered, and most importantly, registered members of The Continental Hotel enjoyed its protection, such as the rule prohibiting combat within the hotel premises.

Eighty percent of assassins in New York were registered members of The Continental Hotel.

This was a gathering place for assassins.

Of course, various assassin organizations still existed outside, but none were strong enough to contend with The Continental Hotel.

The Continental Hotel also had its own enforcers, specifically tasked with punishing assassins who violated The Continental Hotel's Rules. Furthermore, the manager of each Continental Hotel had their own Armed Force under their command.

Behind The Continental Hotel stands another organization—The High Table.

The High Table is an assassin alliance formed by major global syndicates, with a total of twelve seats, headquartered in the desert near Casablanca.

These twelve seats are the governing body of The High Table, occupied by powers such as Comorra, the Mafia, The Glorious, and the Triads.

And where there are people, there will be conflict. Within this High Table, composed of major global syndicates, undercurrents and schemes still surge beneath the surface.

And he, Charlotte Doyle, had a thought: to obtain one of these twelve seats. After all, before the Marvel major event begins, this was a good target he could think of.

After all, this business was a perfect fit.
