Coulson finished speaking and turned to leave the Interrogation Room. Seeing things take a bad turn, Ward immediately said, "Wait, you can't do this..."
"This is absolutely against protocol..."
But before Ward could finish, Coulson had already shut the Interrogation Room door and slipped away.
Watching Coulson leave, Ward breathed a sigh of relief inside. But thinking of the surveillance inside the Interrogation Room, he still had to put on a good show.
He had already understood Coulson's thinking. He needed to play along, smoothly gain Skye's trust, and at the same time not expose any flaws.
This partner of his was no simple character.
With Coulson gone, Skye's interest was piqued.
Thinking of what Ward had just said, Skye took off her jacket, revealing her smoking-hot figure in full.
"You look nervous, Agent Ward."
Ward glanced at Popeye in front of him, then raised his head and said, "I'm recalling my training."
Clearly, as agents, they had been trained in how to handle truth serum.
"I will never reveal any classified information to a girl who's dead set on sabotaging us."
Skye left her seat, came to Ward's side, leaned close, and said softly, "How many have you killed?"
Ward fell silent for a moment, then closed his eyes as if trying hard to remember something, but still began to count.
"They were all high-risk targets, but they were all bad people."
Skye moved from Ward's left side around to his right, half bending over with both arms braced on the table as she looked at him.
Ward continued, "They tried to kill good people, but afterward, I still didn't feel too good about it."
Skye continued asking, "Does your grandmother know about this?"
Ward looked at Skye, his expression pained. "Grandma?"
After that, the two of them talked
