Background and History
Kankuro is a Sunagakure ninja from the Land of Wind and the son of Fourth Kazekage Rasa. Temari is his older sister, and Gaara is his younger brother 321 358 352 376. At fourteen, he describes his puppetry as decent for his age rather than exceptional 359.
Charlotte recruits Kankuro while preparing for an invasion from the Hell Dimension, then deploys him to the Great Rift Valley. Kankuro joins Temari there, and the two fight back-to-back against the Demon Army 321 322 323 325. Later, the three siblings establish the Sunagakure Puppet Shop in Brooklyn. Kankuro makes puppets for its business and continues developing his combat puppets 356 405.

Kankuro wears face paint and a Sunagakure headband. He says the painted pattern represents Crow, the puppet he carries wrapped in bandages 358.
