Chapter Summaries

After returning to their base, Zhong Yi and the others fixed their hungry Pals’ work assignments and expanded the base into a self-sustaining home. They set out to explore again, and Zhou Yue discovered a Secret Realm where a gigantic Direhowl awaited him.

• The four returned from the Giant Vulture Statue and found their Pals hungry and their work unfinished because Zhou Yue had assigned a lazy, gluttonous Tombat.
• Zhou Yue replaced the Tombat, and the four fed their Pals so they could resume working.
• The group expanded the base’s capacity and Zhong Yi assigned five Pals to farming, crafting, mining, logging, and wool production.
• Zhong Yi watched the Pals sustain the base with harvested berries, and Zhou Yue regretted considering abandoning his Pal.
• The four took their newly crafted Pal Spheres and split up to explore, while Zhou Qiaoling showed off her powerful Foxparks.

Zhou Yue used Zhong Yi’s recall trick to weaken a Direhowl, but Zhou Qiaoling captured it and unlocked its saddle. After roaming the starting area with her new mount and an aggressive Foxparks, Zhou Qiaoling encountered a Forest Mammoth and was killed.

• Zhou Yue summoned Foxparks to fight a giant Direhowl, but Foxparks died and Zhou Yue called Mu Yawen and Zhong Yi for help.

After a Forest Mammoth destroyed their first base, Zhong Yi and his companions relocated beneath a High Tower and struggled to divide up the work. Zhong Yi respawned at the new base and urged Zhou Yue to go easy on a Tombat that was shirking its duties.

• Zhong Yi proposed moving the group’s base to the teleport point beneath a High Tower, where they could access more open terrain and metal ore.

• Zhou Yue vented his frustration by clubbing hordes of Tombats on the plains and decided to head toward the Extraction Point.
