v3.22 turns the Browse filters into a drawer on a phone, sorts every tag picker by category, splits Recaps into Volumes, Arcs and Summaries so a preview novel's arcs are no longer hidden, and puts a Preview strip on every novel cover. Dialogs and drawers across the site were also gone over for jumps and touch size.

  • Browse filters are a drawer on a phone. A Filters button beside the title search shows how many filters are on and opens a bottom drawer with Author, Genre, Status, Fandoms, Tags, Length and Dates. Show results applies everything at once, and closing the drawer any other way undoes your changes. The active filters stay on the page as chips you can remove, and Fanfic, Protagonist and Crossovers stay on the page for a quick change.
  • A smaller, tidier panel on a computer: the boxes and dropdowns are a touch smaller and the same height, to match the rest of the page.
  • The title search is rounded like the search everywhere else on the site.
  • Popular and Browse rows on a phone: the genre line is a little smaller and in the normal text colour.
  • A Preview strip on every novel cover, on the shelves, library, search, novel page, profiles, activity and notifications: a solid strip at the foot of the cover that follows its rounded corners. It marks a novel with only its first 50 chapters.

Tags#

  • Pick tags by category. The tag pickers on Browse, in the report dialog and in the moderator tag dialog show a row of category chips (Subgenres, Relationship, Protagonist, Power System and so on) above the list. Choose one to narrow the list, then search within it.

Recaps#

  • Three tabs: Volumes, Arcs and Summaries, each with its count. The "All volumes" link is gone.
  • A preview novel no longer says it has no volumes. Its volume and every arc are listed even when no recap is written yet, and each arc opens to its chapter summaries. A novel with no written volume opens on its Arcs.
  • Each arc has its own page with its recap and all its chapter summaries, and a pager to the next arc.

Fixes#

  • No jumps when you expand a section in a dialog or drawer: Length and Dates, the report fields, replies and notifications open smoothly and land in place.
  • Dialogs fit the screen. A tall dialog or drawer scrolls instead of running off the top, text no longer re-wraps when a scrollbar appears, a long title stays clear of the close button, and small buttons and chips have a full-size touch area on a phone.
  • The Request page's confirmation no longer repeats the Your requests link, and the "No votes yet" note is shorter.
