Basil kept Carol Danvers imprisoned at Hogwarts while reflecting on the temptations drawing him toward fully descending into the universe. Ron learned about a hidden passage to Hogsmeade and discovered that Nick Fury and Priscilla were living beneath it, plotting a return to Earth.

• Basil sent the parallel Avengers away, then revealed that Carol Danvers was imprisoned at Hogwarts and defended his decision to let some Skrulls live in Salazar’s abandoned burrow.
• Basil considered how the people and powers gathered in his universe, including the parallel Avengers and their time-travel technology, seemed to be urging him to descend fully into reality.
