Passing through the curtain of rain, Bu Lige and Jiang Shengjun arrived at the entrance of Yuan Gui's Shop.
"Teacher." Bu Lige spoke respectfully to Yuan Gui inside the shop.
"Good morning, Boss Yuan." Jiang Shengjun also greeted him.
By now, the diners had all come to understand one thing: Yuan Gui did not like being called the Culinary God. Instead, he quite liked the title Boss Yuan.
Yuan Gui gave a slight nod in response.
He checked the time and opened the steamer.
Thicker white steam immediately enveloped the entrance of Yuan Gui's Shop completely, and an enticingly sweet fragrance spread through the air.
It was also mixed with the tranquil scent of cherry blossoms, adding the finishing touch and elevating the overall fragrance to another level.
Jiang Shengjun swallowed. Waves of hunger rising from his stomach reminded him that perhaps he should have eaten something before coming here.
"This taste... Even if my family's chefs were dozens of times more skilled, they still couldn't compare." Jiang Shengjun's voice was somewhat muffled, and he kept blowing on the food because it was too hot.
"Teacher is the publicly acknowledged Culinary God of Tianlan Continent. It'd be strange if your family's chefs could compare." Bu Lige answered casually, his attention wholly focused on the food in his hands as well.
Today's breakfast at Yuan Gui's Shop was rice cake. Because cherry blossoms had been used, it was a pale pink overall, with all sorts of fruit flesh mixed within.
The flavors of various Spirit Fruits, the faint fragrance of cherry blossoms, the natural aroma of rice itself, and the woody scent carried by the steamer all fused perfectly together. Yet upon careful tasting, their layers remained distinct.
Yuan Gui heard their conversation, but his expression did not change.
