Herman carried his cup back to where he had been sitting and carefully examined it first.
The smell was somewhat different from what he had noticed when he first entered the shop. It was a deep brown color and looked like an utterly ordinary beverage, without the slightest trace of energy flowing through it.
But for Rona to be so reluctant to leave it, even taking out a Black Mist Crystal to pay for it, the coffee certainly had something special about it.
With anticipation in his heart, Herman blew on it twice, then took a small sip. The first thing he sensed was an incredibly rich, mellow aroma that intoxicated him. Then came the sweetness—far too sweet—making him frown slightly.
When Luo Chuan had made the coffee earlier, his hand had accidentally trembled, and he had added a little too much sugar. That was why the coffee was absurdly sweet.
Aside from being rather sweet and having a somewhat muddled mix of flavors, Herman felt that the coffee tasted fairly good. It was certainly no match for the flower tea he made himself, so the flavor probably was not why Rona had been so captivated by it.
He was about to take another sip when his movement suddenly stopped, and a puzzled sound escaped his mouth. He could feel some sort of unusual change occurring within his body.
His perception of the magic drifting between heaven and earth had become somewhat sharper. As a result, the world seemed much clearer, like someone with mild nearsightedness suddenly regaining normal vision.
"This... is unbelievable." Herman lowered his head to look at his hands, his face filled with disbelief. He still seemed immersed in his shock at the coffee's effects.
In comparison, Rona's reaction was much calmer. Only a slight change appeared
