Luo Chuan came behind the counter and began making coffee.
"Can you tell me about your world?" Ausia was chatting with Yao Ziyan.
"Our world?" Yao Ziyan glanced at her in slight confusion, then smiled. "What do you want to know?"
Luo Chuan had never explicitly forbidden this, so Yao Ziyan felt there was no problem with telling Ausia a little.
"How are the two worlds different? Things that make your world more interesting, that sort of thing." Ausia rose and leaned closer to Yao Ziyan, staring intently into her eyes. "I'm curious!"
Yao Ziyan leaned back slightly, unaccustomed to Ausia's behavior. "There actually isn't much difference. Kolo has Transcendents; in our world, we call them cultivators. Of course, there are also powerful members of other intelligent races. Humans aren't the only ones capable of wielding great power."
"The two worlds really are quite alike in that regard." Ausia sat back down, nodding thoughtfully. "What else? The power you mentioned—is it magic too?"
"Primarily spiritual energy, though there are many other types of energy as well." Yao Ziyan patiently explained. "Besides that, there are many other kinds of energy too. Kolo is the same..."
Luo Chuan looked up at the two chatting on the sofa. Naturally, he had heard what they were discussing, but he did not care much about it.
Ausia was merely curious about the differences between Tianlan Continent and Kolo. It was not a big deal, so Yao Ziyan could tell her if she wanted.
Luo Chuan lowered his head and fell into thought as he looked at the container in his hands, already more than half empty.
He had put in a little too much sugar, but he could not be bothered to make another cup. Hopefully, Ausia liked sweet things.
