With the crisp snap of the clapperboard, filming officially began.
Shinkai Seiko, playing a prison guard, emerged from the bend in the corridor and began her routine patrol.
The prisoners in the solitary cells on either side all stayed obediently inside. Most were eating, with the occasional murmur of conversation drifting out.
According to the script, it was now evening, right around dinnertime.
Crystal lamps powered by spiritual energy lit the corridor. It was neither damp nor filthy, but exceptionally neat and clean.
The atmosphere was perfectly normal, but everyone knew that something was bound to happen next.
Sure enough, the abrupt sound of something heavy striking the ground rang out.
A prisoner suddenly collapsed and began convulsing. His face twisted in agony as he clutched his chest, his mouth open, yet not a single sound came out.
"Hey! What's wrong with you?!"
Shinkai Seiko hurried to the cell door, her expression panicked as she tried to open it. However, the prisoner quickly lost all signs of life.
This was merely the beginning. The next second, another prisoner crumpled to the ground, following the exact same pattern.
"What the hell is going on?!"
"Open the door! Open it, now! Let me out!"
"Damn it! I don't want to die here..."
The cells on both sides of the corridor immediately erupted into chaos. After witnessing such a scene, how could they possibly sit still?
But it did no good whatsoever. It was as though the god of death had descended upon this place. Within just a few minutes, every prisoner had fallen to the ground.
There was not the slightest difference in how they died.
The filming process went astonishingly smoothly. No one knew exactly what Tang Yi had done, but the prisoners serving as extras were all
