As time passed, the sun that had once hung overhead gradually moved toward the horizon, scattering golden radiance across the land. Everything cast long shadows in the glow of the setting sun.
Luo Chuan pushed open the door and looked around. His gaze soon fell on Chimera, curled up on the sofa. It looked as though it had slept there for the entire afternoon.
Noticing that Luo Chuan had returned, Chimera merely opened its eyes to glance at him, gave a soft cry as a greeting, and returned to its state of "I'm already a useless cat."
Well, Chimera was merely a Magic Beast that looked like a cat.
Luo Chuan was already used to it. Chimera had always greeted him this way. If anything truly changed, that would be strange.
"Did any customers come by this afternoon?" Luo Chuan sat down on the sofa, took out a bottle of Cola, and drank a large gulp.
The icy liquid flowed from his mouth into his body, driving away the lingering heat while seemingly opening every pore on his skin.
Chimera slowly rose, stretched out all four limbs in a lazy stretch, then yawned before shaking its head. Its gaze remained fixed on the Cola in Luo Chuan's hand.
There was plenty of Cola on the shelf behind the coffee shop counter, but without Luo Chuan's permission, Chimera certainly would not take any on its own.
Watching Luo Chuan drink Cola here, and seeing the expression that unconsciously appeared on his face, Chimera could not help but wonder. Was it really that delicious?
"You want to try some?" Luo Chuan noticed Chimera's gaze.
Chimera nodded.
After thinking for a moment, Luo Chuan got up, took a small dish, placed it on the table, and poured a little Cola into it.
