Yao Ziyan turned to look at Qing Yuan, who was lying on the grass. From the look of her, she seemed to have a destination in mind; otherwise, one could hardly call it being lost.
Qing Yuan had always appeared lively and cheerful, but after hearing Yao Ziyan's question, she suddenly fell silent.
This made Yao Ziyan a little nervous.
"I was just asking. If you don't want to say, just pretend you didn't hear me."
"It's fine." Qing Yuan smiled softly and looked toward the clear night sky. "I really am heading somewhere. Tell me, do you think people have another life after they die?"
Yao Ziyan did not understand why Qing Yuan had suddenly asked this. She thought about it seriously. "Souls do exist, so a next life should exist as well."

The evening breeze drifted over, making the grasses and trees sway gently with rustling sounds. They echoed the chirping insects, like a prelude played by nature in the depths of the night.
The campfire had already burned out, with only scattered embers still glowing amid the ashes, flickering bright and dim in the breeze.
"I'm going to visit my master," Qing Yuan said quietly, breaking the silence.
Yao Ziyan said nothing.
She knew that at a time like this, she only needed to quietly be a listener.
"My master had only one disciple: me. She found me, and
