Luo Chuan had a mildly socially anxious personality. Simply put, he had a great many thoughts swirling inside, yet when talking to people, he could only squeeze out dry, awkward words.
Just like when Origin Mall had first opened, the aloof, taciturn boss persona had largely come about for this very reason.
Still, as the owner of a shop, dealing with people was unavoidable. Besides, Yao Ziyan had become a long-term resident in the store. Luo Chuan's little bit of social anxiety quickly vanished. How did that saying go again? As long as I'm not embarrassed, then the embarrassed one is someone else.
"Aren't you going to go say hello to them?" Luo Chuan nudged Yao Ziyan's arm.
"Wouldn't that be a little inappropriate?" Yao Ziyan hesitated slightly.
"What's inappropriate about it?" Luo Chuan reminded her. "Don't forget, your current identity is a student at the school. You might even be classmates with Yue. It'd be perfectly reasonable to go over and say hello, wouldn't it?"
Yao Ziyan thought about it and felt that Luo Chuan made a great deal of sense.
"Then... I'll go over?"
"Mm-hmm, go on."
"Luo Chuan, aren't you coming with me?"
"I'll pass. You're a girl, so of course it's fine. If I went over, they'd definitely think I had ulterior motives."
Yao Ziyan burst out laughing. She clearly found a certain boss's way of thinking rather amusing, but she did not say much else. Though she herself did not really care, since the boss thought that way, Yao Ziyan would not deliberately interfere.
Yao Ziyan stood up, straightened the hem of her clothes slightly, and walked toward Yue and Shiori.
"Ziyan, did you need us for something?"
Yue noticed Yao Ziyan approaching and set down her paddle. She also glanced in Luo Chuan's direction.
